THE RESTAURANT
Everything begins at the restaurant.
Wild Grass has its own restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout your stay. The menu includes both Sri Lankan and Western dishes, whether you want to explore the flavours of Sri Lanka or choose something more familiar.

Dining can also take you beyond the restaurant, from private dinners at the Chena Hut to preparing Sri Lankan dishes yourself in our cooking experience.

BREAKFAST · LUNCH · DINNER
Stay local, or choose something familiar.
Sri Lankan dishes sit alongside Western choices on the menu, allowing you to eat differently from one meal to the next. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared by our kitchen team and served at the restaurant.

If you are celebrating something during your stay or would like a special meal arranged, let us know. Our team can discuss what is possible and plan it with you in advance.

PRIVATE DINING
Dinner at the
Chena Hut.
Leave the main restaurant behind for a private dinner at the Chena Hut, set in a quiet clearing surrounded by the farm and forest.

Prepared for two and served privately, the experience gives you the evening to yourselves, with the Chena Hut lit by candlelight and garden flares.

Cook the flavours of Sri Lanka.
Spend the late morning cooking alongside our team at the Chena Hut, learning how a traditional Sri Lankan meal comes together.

Prepare a selection of dishes using local ingredients and traditional techniques, from grating fresh coconut and making sambol to working with kurakkan and other staples of Sri Lankan cooking. Afterwards, sit down to enjoy the lunch you've prepared.

GROWN AT WILD GRASS
Part of the landscape, part of the kitchen.
Wild Grass has its own organic farm, where vegetables are grown and used by our kitchen.

The farm is part of the wider landscape of Wild Grass, alongside the forest, wetlands and open spaces that surround the villas. It also sits close to the Chena Hut, connecting one of the property's quieter dining settings with the land around it.
