Last updated: 6 November 2026

Welcome to Wild Grass Nature Resort. These Terms & Conditions govern reservations, accommodation and services provided by our resort. We encourage all guests to review them carefully before confirming a reservation.

By confirming a reservation, guests agree to the applicable booking conditions and policies outlined below.

1. Reservations and Booking Confirmation

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Wild Grass Nature Resort.

A reservation is considered confirmed once the applicable payment requirements have been fulfilled and written confirmation has been issued by the resort.

Guests are responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including arrival and departure dates, number of guests, children's ages and accommodation requirements.

Reservations made through travel agents, tour operators or third-party booking platforms may be subject to additional or different booking conditions communicated by those providers.

2. Accommodation Rates, Taxes and Service Charges

Accommodation rates vary according to villa category, occupancy, travel dates, meal plan and applicable promotions.

All published accommodation rates at Wild Grass Nature Resort are inclusive of the following charges:

  • Government Taxes: 21%

  • Service Charge: 10%

These charges are included in the displayed accommodation rate and are not added separately at the time of payment.

Additional meals, beverages, experiences, transfers and other services are charged separately unless expressly included in the confirmed reservation.

Rates and promotions may change without prior notice. However, confirmed booking rates will remain valid, except where otherwise agreed or required by applicable law.

Any changes to government-imposed taxes or statutory charges will be handled in accordance with applicable legislation and the terms of the confirmed reservation.

3. Payments

Payment requirements vary depending on the booking period, selected rate and applicable promotional conditions.

Some reservations require full prepayment, while others may be subject to deposit requirements or agreed payment schedules.

Applicable payment deadlines and accepted payment methods will be communicated before confirmation.

Guests should make payments only through authorised payment channels provided by Wild Grass Nature Resort.

Any applicable bank charges, currency conversion fees or payment processing charges will be disclosed where relevant.

4. Cancellations, Amendments and Refunds

Cancellation conditions depend on the selected rate, promotional offer and travel period.

The cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking and included in the reservation confirmation shall apply to the reservation.

Special offers and peak-period reservations may be subject to stricter cancellation conditions, including non-refundable periods.

Where a refund is permitted, any applicable bank-imposed reversal or transfer fee will be communicated as part of the booking conditions.

Changes to confirmed reservations are subject to availability, applicable rate differences and the original cancellation conditions.

No-shows and early departures may result in charges for unused accommodation nights in accordance with the confirmed booking conditions.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to reservations@wildgrass.lk.

Nothing in these terms excludes any statutory refund entitlement that cannot lawfully be waived.

5. Villa Occupancy and Children

Maximum occupancy depends on the selected villa category and available bedding arrangements.

All guests, including children, must be declared at the time of booking.

Additional beds are subject to availability and are generally charged at USD 30 per night unless otherwise specified.

The following general age categories apply:

  • Children under 5 years: Complimentary accommodation when sharing existing bedding, subject to occupancy limits.

  • Children aged 6–11 years: Applicable child supplements depending on meal plan and bedding arrangements.

  • Guests aged 12 years and above: Adult rates apply.

Any charges applicable to children aged 5 years or other occupancy arrangements will be confirmed before booking.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the property, particularly around swimming pools and outdoor areas.

6. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in: From 2:00 PM onwards.
Check-out: By 11:00 AM.

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

Guests may be requested to present valid identification or a passport at check-in, as required by applicable regulations.

7. Dining and Meal Plans

Meal inclusions depend on the selected booking arrangement.

Bed & Breakfast includes breakfast, while Half Board includes breakfast and dinner, unless otherwise specified.

Additional meals, beverages and special dining arrangements may incur separate charges.

Guests are encouraged to inform the resort of dietary restrictions and food allergies before arrival. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements, although the availability of particular ingredients or preparations cannot always be guaranteed.

8. Experiences, Excursions and Transport

Wild Grass Nature Resort offers a selection of experiences, including nature walks, Sri Lankan cooking experiences, wildlife excursions and other activities.

Experiences are subject to availability, weather conditions, operational requirements and applicable safety considerations.

Unless expressly included in a package, experiences and transfers are charged separately.

National Park Excursions

National park entrance fees and government-imposed charges are excluded from the resort's safari experience prices unless explicitly stated.

These fees are payable separately and directly at the relevant park. Government-imposed charges may change without prior notice.

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, as animals move freely within their natural habitats.

Activities may be modified, postponed or cancelled where necessary for guest safety, environmental protection or operational reasons. Any applicable refund will be assessed according to the booking conditions and relevant legal obligations.

9. Natural Environment and Wildlife

Wild Grass Nature Resort is situated within a forested natural environment, home to a variety of birds, insects, reptiles and other wildlife.

Guests may occasionally encounter animals in or around their accommodation. Most encounters are with harmless wildlife, although guests should avoid approaching, handling or attempting to remove unfamiliar animals themselves.

If a guest feels uncomfortable with an animal in their villa or another guest area, they are encouraged to contact resort staff immediately. Our team will assist in safely removing or relocating the animal where appropriate.

Guests are requested to respect the surrounding environment, avoid feeding or disturbing wildlife and follow safety guidance provided by resort staff.

Due to the natural setting, occasional encounters with insects or wildlife cannot be entirely prevented.

10. Wi-Fi and Connectivity

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at Wild Grass Nature Resort.

Due to the resort's forest setting, wireless signal strength, internet speed and connectivity may occasionally vary.

Dense foliage, weather conditions, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, network interruptions and other environmental factors may affect connectivity.

While we make reasonable efforts to maintain reliable internet access, uninterrupted connectivity and specific internet speeds cannot be guaranteed.

Guests requiring a continuous connection for essential professional or personal activities are encouraged to make suitable alternative arrangements.

11. Swimming Pools and Water Safety

Selected villa categories feature private swimming pools.

There are no lifeguards on duty at Wild Grass Nature Resort.

Guests use swimming pools at their own risk and must exercise appropriate care and caution at all times.

Children must be continuously supervised by a responsible adult while swimming or remaining near swimming pools. Children must never be left unattended in or around the water.

Guests should not swim while intoxicated, during thunderstorms or in circumstances that may compromise their safety.

Running, diving into shallow water and other dangerous behaviour are prohibited.

Guests are responsible for following all posted safety instructions and reasonable directions issued by resort staff.

Wild Grass Nature Resort is not responsible for injuries or fatalities arising solely from a guest's own negligence, reckless conduct or failure to follow reasonable safety instructions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this provision excludes or limits liability arising from negligence or other acts or omissions of the resort where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all villas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas and other enclosed spaces.

Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas, including private villa decks, provided that guests exercise appropriate care and consideration for others.

Given the resort's natural forest setting, guests must dispose of cigarette waste responsibly and take all necessary precautions to prevent fire hazards.

Guests may be held responsible for reasonable cleaning or repair costs resulting from smoking inside prohibited areas or damage caused by improper disposal of smoking materials.

13. Guest Conduct and Property Care

Guests must respect the privacy, comfort and safety of other guests, staff and wildlife.

Excessive noise, unlawful activities, threatening behaviour and conduct that endangers others are prohibited.

Guests may be held responsible for damage caused through deliberate actions, negligence or misuse, subject to applicable law.

The resort may take reasonable action in response to serious misconduct, including requiring a guest to leave where legally permitted.

14. Personal Belongings and Valuables

Guests are encouraged to take reasonable precautions to safeguard personal belongings and valuables.

Loss, theft or damage should be reported promptly to resort management.

Responsibility for loss or damage will be determined according to the circumstances and applicable law.

15. Hotel Liability and Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Wild Grass Nature Resort will exercise reasonable care in providing accommodation, facilities and services.

The resort shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its contractual obligations to the extent that such failure or delay is directly caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control and could not reasonably have been avoided or overcome.

Such circumstances may include, without limitation:

  • Natural disasters, severe weather, floods, storms, fires or other acts of nature.

  • War, civil unrest, rebellion, riots or serious public disturbances.

  • Strikes, labour stoppages or industrial action beyond the resort's reasonable control.

  • Government restrictions, emergency orders or the suspension or withdrawal of essential operating authorisations for reasons beyond the resort's reasonable control.

  • Significant infrastructure failures, utility disruptions or mechanical failures that could not reasonably have been prevented.

  • Other extraordinary events that materially affect the resort's ability to operate safely.

Where such events affect a reservation, Wild Grass Nature Resort will make reasonable efforts to notify affected guests promptly, minimise disruption and explore suitable alternative arrangements.

Any refunds or other remedies will be determined according to the applicable booking conditions and legal obligations.

The resort shall not be responsible for injury, loss or damage caused solely by a guest's negligence, reckless conduct or failure to follow reasonable safety instructions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, negligence, breach of statutory duty or other matters to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

16. Overbooking and Alternative Accommodation

Wild Grass Nature Resort takes reasonable measures to maintain accurate availability and prevent overbookings.

In the unlikely event that we are unable to honour a confirmed reservation due to an overbooking, we will notify the affected guest as soon as reasonably possible.

Where feasible, Wild Grass Nature Resort will offer alternative accommodation of a comparable or higher standard, subject to availability, at no additional accommodation cost to the guest.

Guests may choose to accept the proposed alternative accommodation or request cancellation of the affected reservation.

If the guest declines the alternative accommodation, or if a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, Wild Grass Nature Resort will provide a full refund of all payments received for the affected reservation, without cancellation penalties or refund processing deductions.

Where alternative accommodation is accepted, the arrangements will be communicated and confirmed in writing.

Any additional rights or remedies available to guests under applicable Sri Lankan law shall remain unaffected.

17. Third-Party Services

Certain excursions, transport arrangements and other services may be operated by independent third-party providers.

These services may be subject to additional terms and conditions communicated before confirmation.

Wild Grass Nature Resort will exercise reasonable care when arranging services through third parties. Responsibility for such arrangements will be determined according to the nature of the service and applicable law.

18. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information collected during reservations and stays is used to manage bookings, communicate with guests, process payments and provide requested services.

Information may be shared with authorised service providers where necessary to fulfil reservations or comply with legal obligations.

Further details should be available in our separate Privacy Policy.

19. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate information, descriptions, photographs and rates on our website.

Facilities, experiences, menus and services may occasionally change due to operational requirements.

Website content, photographs and branding may not be reproduced commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

20. Complaints and Guest Assistance

Guests are encouraged to raise concerns with resort management during their stay so that we have an opportunity to address them promptly.

Wild Grass Nature Resort may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.

The terms communicated and accepted at the time of booking will continue to apply to confirmed reservations unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
